| James T. Floyd Hall Of Fame | |

The James T. Floyd Hall Of Fame was
established at the 2003 Southeastern Region Leadership Conference in
Charlotte to honor Brothers who have made significant contributions to
the Fraternity and their respective communities. Charter members of the
Hall of Fame are indicated with an asterisk (*) next to their names.
The 2004 Southeastern Regional Conference in
Chattanooga saw the first class of new members inducted into the
James T. Floyd Hall Of Fame. At each biennial regional conference,
chapters can nominate Brothers for possible inclusion in this
distinctive group. |

| Honorable Brother James
T. Floyd* was elected the 25th National President at Conclave New
Orleans in 1984. Under his visionary leadership in three national
positions, he created the PBS Federal Credit Union, initiated the
National Miss PBS Pageant, the National Oratorical and Debate Contest,
the first national membership directory and other programs. Bro. Floyd
received his BS Degree from Allen University in 1957. While there he was
inducted into Sigma by the Brothers of Alpha Omicron Chapter. Today,
Bro. Floyd owns F&M Development Enterprises, a construction company, in
Greenville (SC) and he is affiliated with Alpha Lambda Sigma Chapter. He
was inducted into the Distinguished Service Chapter (DSC), #99, in
August 1987. |

| Honorable Brother James A. Clark*, a faithful member of Eta Sigma Chapter in Raleigh, served the region as Southeastern Regional Director from 1983-85. A graduate of Johnson C. Smith University, he was inducted into the DSC (#105) in 1991. Brother Clark passed from this life into the Omega Chapter in early 2003 and was awarded posthumously medallion #2 of the James T. Floyd Hall of Fame. |

Brother Marshall B. Bass* became a member (#97) of the DSC in 1985.
He owns a management consulting firm and is in his 8th year as chairman
of the Board of Trustees for Voorhees College. Previously, he has been
on the Board of Trustees of St. Augustine College, Appalachian State,
North Carolina Central, North Carolina A&T State, University of Maryland
and Winston-Salem State Universities. Bro. Bass was initiated into Sigma
in 1945 at Morgan State by the Brothers of Gamma Chapter. He spent 23
years in the US Army where he was a decorated Korean War veteran and
rose to the rank of colonel. While in the Army he received a BS Degree
in Military Science and Foreign Affairs from the University of Maryland.
He also worked 23 years with the RJR Nabisco Company. He is a member of
Delta Sigma Chapter in Winston-Salem.. |

Brother Dudley E. Flood* was inducted into the DSC (#128) at
Conclave Dallas in 1999. After initiation into Sigma at Eta Sigma
Chapter, Bro. Flood has served at every level of Sigma including
Southeastern Regional Director, National Director of Housing and Advisor
to Past President Carter Womack. He is a retired Associate State
Superintendent from the North Carolina Department Of Education. Since
retirement he has worked as a national consultant in education and has
done consulting work in all but two of the fifty states. His primary
focus is conducting workshops in management and leadership for school
administrators. He received his BS Degree from North Carolina Central
University and has advanced degrees from East Carolina and Duke
Universities. |

Brother Henry L. Goldston* was initiated into Sigma by the Brothers
of Eta Chapter at North Carolina A&T State University in 1960. While at
A&T, he studied both Chemistry and Mathematics. After graduation he
taught high school for two years before returning to his alma mater
where he taught for 29 years. Bro. Goldston has served as SE Regional
Director and was collegiate advisor for the chapter at A&T for 25 years.
He is very active with his church, Stouts Chapel United Methodist
Church, where he holds a number of district and local positions. Bro
Goldston was inducted into the DSC (#129) at Conclave Dallas in 1999. He
is a member of Gamma Beta Sigma Chapter in Greensboro. |

Brother William J. Walker* was approved for the DSC (#139) at
Conclave Detroit in 2001. A charter member of Eta Iota Sigma Chapter,
the Georgetown Alumni chapter, he has served the Fraternity as
Southeastern Regional Director, National Chaplain and regional
coordinator of Project SWWAC (Sigmas Waging War Against Cancer). He
earned a degree in Religion from Wilberforce University where he was
inducted into Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity by the Brothers of Alpha Alpha
Chapter in 1969 Bro. Walker is the Executive Director of the Georgetown
County Alcohol & Drug Abuse Commission. He is also the pastor of St.
John Missionary Baptist Church in Latta (SC) and the Moderator of the
Little Pee Dee Baptist Association. |

Brother Larry D. McCutcheon* was initiated into Phi Beta Sigma at
Omicron Chapter at Claflin University. Elected South Carolina State
Director at age 25, his more active approach transformed the role of
state director and the organization of state conferences throughout
Sigma. Bro. McCutcheon has worked at all levels to speed the cause of
Sigma. The 2001 Detroit Conclave approved him for the DSC (#138). He
just completed a five years term as Charleston County District
Superintendent for the United Methodist Church and currently serves as
pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church in Orangeburg. Bro. McCutcheon
held the office of Southeastern Regional Director when the only conclave
to convene in South Carolina came to Charleston in 1981. |

Brother Robert Booker - Author, historian, civic leader, Bro. Booker
was inducted into the DSC (#141) at the 2003 Memphis Conclave. He earned
a BS degree from Knoxville College where he was initiated into Sigma in
1958 by the Brothers of Beta Eta Chapter. Bro. Booker served 6 years in
the Tennessee State legislature and is the retired Executive Director of
the Beck Cultural Center, the Knoxville Museum of African- American
History & Culture. He has authored three non-fiction books - “Two
Hundred Years Of Black Culture In Knoxville”, “And There Was Light” and
“The Heat Of A Red Summer”. Bro. Booker is a member of Phi Sigma Chapter
and serves as editor of “The Southeastern Sigma” - the regional
newsletter. |

Brother Winford L. Rose priorities in life are God, family and
fraternity. He received an AB Degree in English with a minor in History
from Livingstone College. He also has a Masters Degree in School
Administration and Supervision from North Carolina Central University
and a law certificate in Children With Special Needs. After teaching for
nine years and serving as a middle school principal, he joined the North
Carolina Department of Public Instruction where he worked as Assistant
Director of Special Projects. In this position, he was in charge of both
federal and state budgets for NC schools and oversaw the operation of
the two Governor Schools in North Carolina, Bro. Rose has served at the
regional level as treasurer and director of all three national programs.
He was inducted into the Distinguished Service Chapter (#150) in 2005 at
Conclave Los Angeles and is a member of Eta Sigma Chapter in Raleigh. |

Brother Larry Blanding earned a BA Degree in Social Science from
Claflin University and a Masters in Education from South Carolina State
University. While at Claflin he was inducted into Omicron Chapter of Phi
Beta Sigma Fraternity in November 1973. At the age of 22, he became the
youngest African-American to be elected to the South Carolina House of
Representatives. He served in the House for 15 years. He has served the
Fraternity as SE Regional Director, member of the National Election
Committee and chairman of the National Real Estate Commission. He is
recipient of the J. Neil Armstrong Award and the National President's
Service Award. At the 1981 Charleston Conclave he was chosen Conclave
Grand Marshall. Bro. Blanding is a member of Delta Kappa Sigma Chapter
in Sumter. He was approved for the DSC at Conclave Charlotte. |

Willie E. Ford is in faithful attendance at every state, regional
and national meeting. He has been recognized on the state and regional
levels several times. The highlight came with the receipt of the J. Neil
Armstrong award at the 2001 SE Regional Leadership Conference. Bro. Ford
was initiated at Omicron Chapter in April 1949. After receiving a BA
Degree from Claflin University, he taught in Berkeley County public
schools for thirty-three years spending 22 of those years as principal
of Cross High School. He is a charter member of both Iota Theta Sigma
and Kappa Phi Sigma Chapters. |

Franklin D. McCrea is very involved in his church, community and his
fraternity. He received his BS Degree in Mathematics from Claflin
University. He has a Masters in math and has advanced certification in
elementary and secondary school administration and supervision. A
retired middle school principal, he worked in the Charleston County
School District for 34 years. He has also taught math at Trident
Technical College and served eight years on one of the constituent
school boards in Charleston County. At his church. Old Bethel United
Methodist Church, Bro. McCrea serves as the chairman of the grant
writing committee. He is a member of Beta Mu Sigma Chapter in
Charleston. |

Marion Wright was appointed International Director of Collegiate
Affairs at Conclave Memphis in 2003. He earned a BS Degree in
Marketing/Management from Benedict College and is currently employed
there as Assistant Director of Student Affairs In April 1991, Bro.
Wright was instrumental in the chartering of the Columbia Sigma Beta
Club. The club has thrived over the years thanks to efforts of Bro.
Wright and other members of the chapter. Bro. Wright has served as
collegiate chapter advisor at both Morris and Benedict Colleges and he
was honored with the “Brother of Distinction Award” at the 81st
Anniversary Conclave in Washington, DC. He is a member of Beta Chi Sigma
Chapter in Columbia. |

Jimmy Hammock has served the Fraternity as International
Vice-President, International Treasurer, Southeastern Regional Director
and East Tennessee State Director. He was initiated into the wondrous
brotherhood of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity in Beta Theta Chapter at
University of Arkansas (Pine Bluff) in December 1970. He is a Sapphire
Life Member- Certificate Number 3 ; Golden Life #1237. During his tenure
as regional director he established the “1914 Club” and “The James T.
Floyd Hall of Fame”. As a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, he
served as Chairman of the Administrative Board and is also involved in
working to improve his community. He has served on the Board of
Directors of Morristown-Hamblen Hospital, United Way of Hamblen County,
Morristown College, Boys and Girls Club, Chamber of Commerce and Red
Cross of Hamblen County. |

David Miller,
was born in
Newark, New Jersey, to Albert and Sandra Miller. He was reared by his
paternal Ola Mae Miller. He graduated from Andrews High School in
Andrews, South Carolina. Upon graduation Bro. Miller matriculated to
North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in
Greensboro. While at A&T, Bro. Miller served as student body president
and vice president, he also served on numerous University Committees and
received countless awards and recognition for his untiring service to
students and university. He was also the first recipient of the
University’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Award. David J. Miller, II was
initiated into the ETA Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity on April 7,
1990. Bro. Miller graduated from A&T in 1990 with a degree in Business
Education. In 2005, Bro. Miller earned his Masters of School
Administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro as a
member of Guilford County School’s first administrative cohort. Bro.
Miller is also active in the fraternity having served as President, Vice
President, and Secretary Gamma Beta Sigma Chapter. He also served on the
North Carolina State Board as an Area Director of Intake and on the
Southeastern Regional Board as Vice Regional Director. |

L. Milner has dedicated his love, life and support to God, his
family and Sigma. He was initiated in 1977 by the members of Iota
Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. A 1978 graduate of Shaw
University with a BA Degree in Urban Planning, he is employed as the
Director of Safety and Health at Dorothea Dix Hospital. The first
African-American to hold this position. A member of Springfield Baptist
Church, he serves on the Trustee Board, Security Ministry and is a
former Youth Director. Bro. Milner is President of the Raleigh Wake
National pan Hellenic Council and serves on the Board of Directors of
the Sigma Scholars Foundation (Eta Sigma Chapter) and the Omicron Zeta
Charitable and Educational Foundation. He is a Life Member (#1270) and
member of Eta Sigma Chapter in Raleigh. |

Darryl A. Prince, Sr. is very active in his church, community and
Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. He received his BA degree from Shaw
University In Raleigh, NC. He attended Shaw Divinity School for two
years towards the Masters Program. He retired from RJ Reynolds
Industries, grade level nine, After thirty-five years of service. He now
teaches in middle in Winston Salem. He serves as a sponsor for the NC
Department of Corrections. He has served the Fraternity on every level.

Southeastern Regional Director, Advisor to the collegiate chapter at
Winston Salem State University. Darryl has served on the National
Executive Committee under two National Presidents. He was selected Who’s

Willie L. Benson - Teacher, coach, assistant principal and principal
was inducted into Omicron Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. At
Claflin University. He received his BS Degree
from Claflin and a Masters of Arts Degree from South Carolina State
University. Brother Benson
was an icon in educational circles. He served as a teacher and later
principal of Birch Creek
Elementary School. He also served as principal of St. John Junior High
School and was a longtime
teacher, coach and assistant principal at C. E. Murray High School,
Greeleyville, SC. A devoted
Sigma, Brother Benson helped to reorganize the Pi Sigma Chapter in
Klngstree, SC in 1950 and
served as Chapter President, Vice-President, Treasurer and delegate to
numerous state, regional and
national conventions. Brother Benson served on the regional level as
chairman of the Nomination
and the Constitution Revision Committees He also served as a member of
the Conclave Rules,
Nomination and Election Committees at the National level. |

Rey - Brother Rey won election to the office of Regional Director at
the 52nd Anniversary Southeastern Regional Conference held in
Charleston. Brother Rey obtained his BS in 1999 from East Carolina
University. While at East Carolina, he was initiated into the Xi NU
Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc in 1996. Brother Rey has
served the Fraternity in various offices at the local, regional, and
national levels. Locally, he has served as President of Theta Delta
Sigma Chapter, Killeen, Texas and is currently a member of Eta Sigma
Chapter, based in Raleigh, North Carolina. On the regional level, he has
served as associate regional director of the southeastern region and
currently serving as Regional Director of the Southeastern Region.
Nationally, he was elected International Second Vice President, and
appointed National Director of Collegiate Affairs, National Technology
Director, and multiple committees. Chris has served on the board of
directors of several community service organizations, including the
Global Community Foundation of New York, United Life Christian Academy,
T.H.I.N.K Foundation, and the Dudley Flood Education Foundation. He is a
member of Abney Chapel Seventh Day Adventist Church. |
